ABOUT THE ARIZONA AGAVE
Arizona agave (Agave arizonica), a rare succulent with pointed leaves and yellow flowers, is found in the New River Mountains of Arizona. Commercial plant traders and grazing cattle are significantly threatening its numbers in the wild. Although the species was reclassified and removed from federal protection, native populations continue to decline and conservation efforts remain critical.
